Government of India Issues Advisory for Citizens Travelling to Iran Amid Rising Kidnapping Cases The Government of India has issued a strong advisory warning its citizens about recent incidents involving Indian nationals in Iran. According to the advisory, several Indians were lured to Iran with false promises of employment or onward placement in third countries. Once in Iran, they were kidnapped by criminal gangs, with ransoms demanded from their families for release.
India successfully test-fired its Agni-Prime ballistic missile from a rail-based launcher for the first time, reaching 2,000 km range. This will enable rapid, low-visibility deployment across India’s 70,000 km rail network.
